Backyard Detection of Geomagnetic Storms
Introduction The physics of Earth's magnetic field and its interaction with the sun have always fascinated me. I saw an article where NOAA discussed Geomagnetic Ground Currents in North America . The article tickled me and brought out interests I've had for many years. In my own back yard, how could I measure this? Research Perplexity to the rescue. This will be, roughly, a 18 meter square. Each electrode will be connected to a common demarcation point using buried coaxial cable.
