Bug Key Collection

Purchased on eBay, 01/29/2013

This key was refurbished by the prior owner (W1SFR) who is, I believe, a clock repairman. The key looks to be in fine shape. I am excited to see it show up. Another "early birthday present."

Research tells me this is an "Original Presentation" - 24K gold plated brass plate on a highly polished decorative chrome base with bright chrome top parts. Its silky smooth, jeweled movements are like those found in fine Swiss watches, with stainless steel hardware where appropriate.

It will take some time to learn to use this key effectively.

Tim was very helpful and gave me some useful research links.  This gave me the idea of running my own beacon using my ICOM 7300 memory keyer capability. I setup a memory of VVV DE W7YV/B W7YV/B DN40 K with a 4 second repeat interval. I am sending this on 10M or 20M. Have not tried 40 or 80, yet, due to antenna issues. The results are intriguing.
